We had several days of "warm" weather. The cul-de-sac was almost clear of ice. You could see 80% of the road in front of the house. Cool. You know, if it snows 6 inches and then rains, it tends to pack that snow down into ice. That ice tends to be thick and stays around for a while, even with the chemicals the city throws at it. Now, on often traveled straight roads, the chemicals work better and then the ice goes away faster.
Why do I tell you this? Cause I had decided yesterday to blog about the lack of ice. Our driveway was half clear. You could see the blacktop on more than half of the driveway. But, before I blogged, I thought . . . pictures-yep, I need pictures. But, I am tired, so I will wait until the morning to take a picture. Mistake.
It's snowing. My driveway isn't clear and black anymore. I missed the window of opportunity. It's white again. The road is white again. But, I know it won't last forever. I see spring coming cause I have read that spring does come up here. It does, really it does. Honest. :)
