the bed

I ordered our new mattress today online. It was a new experience . . . ordering a bed online. I hope it works out. Oh well, if it doesn't, I can return it. But, the thought of trying to get a king sized memory type foam mattress back to Costco . . . well, its daunting. Hey, that's why I have kids (and husband). :)

So, we should get it in about two weeks. The key is NOT to open it until we are at the new house as it expands once it is opened-like some sort of alien taking over the bedroom.

I never knew you couldn't get these foam mattresses wet. If you spill water on it, that part of the mattress becomes hard . . . forever. I think I will invest in a good waterproof mattress pad cover. Not that we drink water in bed, or sip wine, or have water balloon fights. But, if I don't get the cover-1. the warranty is void and 2. you KNOW that somehow we will spill some sort of water on the bed.

And just so you guys don't think I am the only one who is dealing with spiders . . . #1 told me today that he didn't think he would walk out the back door at night as he doesn't like walking into spider webs (and he got two big spiders on him when he did). So, its only during the daylight hours that he will venture out the back door. And, yeah, they restring their little webs every hour just about.

LOL, good point. Yep, I will need to get a waterproof mattress pad cover right away.

But we were told the roof was new as of last fall (after all our fun this year, it was the first question I asked!!)
