and your little dog Toto

I am thinking this post will get a comment from Dawn . . . let's see what does it for her. I am pretty sure I know what she will say. Let's just wait and see.

It was a nice day yesterday, so I took the bike out late afternoon. I rode to the mail box. In case you didn't know, we don't have our mailbox close to the house. It's a couple blocks away. When its below zero, those few blocks can seem like miles. On days like that, I DRIVE to the mail box. But, hey, I have a bike, and its warm. Ok, fine, its warm for the frozen north.

Bike-check. Helmet-check (it belongs to MainMan but he is working in Orlando). Jacket-check. Mail box key- check. House key-check (cause you KNOW the boys will lock me out).

Off I go. Hmmm, if you live by the lake, it tends to be sort of low. Which means its uphill to leave. It also means its downhill coming home. Coming home can end up going a tad too fast. But that's another story. I got the mail, folded it and put in my jacket. I need a little basket. Think of The Wizard of Oz and the mean old lady who put Toto in her basket (I kept hearing that music of her riding away with Toto as I rode my bike). Anyway, I made it home juuuussst fine.
And finally, for those who were asking, here is a picture of #2's hair. First day of a pony tail. Yeah, my son went to school with a pony tail.

Danielle's making bows. What are his school's colors? I know elastic handbands sometimes help to keep it off the faces and I know several boys who used to wear them.

Wow, it's been a while since I've remembered to come look at your blog, but I guess that's because you haven't been doing too much with it either...

Anyway, lovin' the bike. I've been missing mine. I don't like to ride when I'm pregnant because I don't want to fall.

Matt COULD get his hair trimmed a bit to even it out though couldn't he? Nothing drove me more nuts in college than young men with scraggally hair in ponytails. And one of them was my PROFFESSOR! (He wasn't young, I'm sure he had his hair that way since the 60's).

Good luck with the kitty pics. That's a dang lot!

Take care,
Tricia

ok besides the song in my head of the old lady w/ the dog in the basket - and you riding a bike uphill - and he needs to cut his hair!
